Café de Olla is the heart of our Mexican coffee program and the signature specialty at El Cafesito By Mexicanada. Brewed slowly in a traditional clay pot (olla de barro), the coffee is steeped with whole cinnamon sticks and sweetened with piloncillo — unrefined dark Mexican cane sugar that gives every cup its rich, caramel-like depth.
Loved by guests across Old Strathcona, Garneau and the wider Edmonton community, our Café de Olla is the perfect way to start a chilly morning on Whyte Avenue or to wind down a slow weekend brunch. It pairs beautifully with a freshly baked concha or a plate of chilaquiles.
